Success Is Not About Numbers: Ministry in Motion
March was one of the busiest months we have experienced. It was a month filled with activity, movement, and many opportunities for ministry across Croatia and beyond.
We recorded a podcast on discipleship and participated in the Praxologie podcast, a collaboration between Josiah Venture and ForMission College. We also held a discipleship conference that gathered a significant number of Croatian pastors from different backgrounds. Together, we explored key questions about discipleship, including its definition, importance, practice, and challenges. The diversity of perspectives made clear that discipleship is not always easy to define or implement, yet the shared desire to grow in this area was evident.
Our teaching and training efforts continued in multiple locations. In Sarajevo and Istria, programs moved forward, while additional teaching took place in connection with Easter. Topics included the meaning of Jesus’ death and the interpretation of Scripture. We also visited several churches, offering teaching on passages such as Matthew 5 and Acts 1–13, and participating in workshops on how and why Christians interpret the Bible differently.
Alongside these activities, we engaged in a variety of other initiatives. These included participation in conferences, contributions to public media, involvement in academic discussions, and connections with international partners.
Although the month was full of activity, its true significance is not found in numbers.
Moments of impact often appeared in simple and personal ways. A conversation with a pastor seeking to better understand Scripture. Encouragement from someone who values the books being written and published. Honest and open sharing among ministry leaders. A renewed desire for continued connection and learning.
These moments reflect a deeper kind of fruit. They point to changed hearts, a growing hunger for God’s Word, and relationships that strengthen and endure.
In the end, ministry is not measured by how much is done, but by what God does through it.
