Something big is happening this summer at CECEF (the Central European Christian Education Foundation) and the Biblical Institute of Zagreb, and we wanted you to be the first to know.
A generous friend has just put forward a historic $50,000 Summer Match Challenge! From now until August 31st, every eligible gift given to support theological education and Christian publishing in Central Europe will be matched dollar-for-dollar. This means a gift of $100 instantly becomes $200, doubling our capacity to train leaders and publish vital resources.
Because this donor wants to inspire our entire community to grow together, the match is wide open. You can participate and Double Your Kingdom Impact in three distinct ways:
GIVE FOR THE FIRST TIME: If you have never donated to CECEF or the Institute before, your gifts this summer will be completely matched 1:1.
RENEW YOUR SUPPORT: If you haven’t had the chance to donate since January 1, 2024, your gifts count as a fresh start and will be matched dollar-for-dollar.
STEP UP YOUR GIVING:: If you are a current monthly partner, any amount you give above your regular gift will be doubled.Our official summer campaign doesn’t launch until June 1st, but the matching fund is active right now.
We cannot unlock this $50,000 resource alone. We need our community to stand with us to turn this into $100,000 of active ministry.

To understand the Gospel, we need to understand its setting.
Through our partnership with Focus on the Family, the Biblical Institute is actively translating and distributing Ray Vander Laan’s excellent video series, “That the World May Know.” These videos are being shown and discussed in churches throughout Croatia and beyond.
In Central Europe, few people think of having a personal relationship with Jesus. These videos depict the vibrant historical reality of Jesus and the world of the gospels. This brings the scriptures to life in a completely fresh and powerful way.
We recently asked participants how the video series is impacting their faith. One student said, “Through this video, the world of the first century, as well as Jesus and His work, become clearer, more accessible, and more impactful for me. He is Lord and above all.”
This summer, you can help the Biblical Institute put sound biblical tools into the hands of more believers in Croatia and beyond. Through our $50,000 Summer Match Challenge, every dollar invested in our publishing and translating projects is completely doubled.

Since arriving in Croatia ten years ago, our team has sensed God calling us beyond Croatia into Serbia and Bosnia & Herzegovina—neighboring countries that share a common language and similar spiritual realities. Because of your faithful partnership with the Biblical Institute, that calling is becoming a reality.
Across Croatia, Serbia, and Bosnia & Herzegovina—nearly 14 million people—there are fewer than 20,000 born-again Christians, well under 1% of the population. The region also bears the scars of a painful history, making the gospel of peace more needed than ever.
The small churches that do exist are often isolated and under pressure from the surrounding religious majority. They need leadership training, biblical resources, and encouragement to grow together and reach their communities.
Through your prayers and generosity, God is opening doors:Bosnia: Since 2022, we have taught and shared biblical resources with churches in Sarajevo.
Serbia: This year, Dr. Ervin Budiselić began building relationships with local churches and will speak at a congregation in Novi Sad later this year.
